Established in 1992, the club offers high standards of care, with a skilled and qualified staff team, creating a quality out-of-school provision that is welcoming, friendly, affordable and lots of fun.

After School Club

About Us

Fortis Green Kids’ Club is an out of school childcare provision (est. 1992) catering for children aged 4-11.

During term-time it’s Afterschool Club collects children from various local primary schools including Coldfall, Tetherdown, St James’, Our Lady of Muswell and Muswell Hill Primary. Children are cared for by experienced and qualified Playworkers, dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare that is welcoming, friendly, affordable and lots of fun.

Afterschool Club children are collected by the Club staff and an assistant in the school playground and are escorted on a designated route to Muswell Hill Baptist Church. The Afterschool Club operates in term-time only.

Management

The club is a registered charity (No. 1023826) run by a Management Committee made up of parents of children who attend the club. Committee meetings are held once every half-term. 

Fortis Green Kids’ Club is registered with OFSTED as a care provider and is entirely self-funding.

Attendance & Fees

Afterschool Club runs from 3.20 pm to 6.15pm Monday to Thursday. Only children over the age of 4 years, in full-time primary education, who are already registered online may attend.

The cost for children attending Afterschool Club is £16.50 each session.

After 6.15pm a penalty scheme operates. The penalty charge is £5 for the first 15 minutes, followed by £5 for each subsequent 5 minutes or part thereof.

Last Minute Booking & Additional Pickup

When all the advance booking have been taken, last minute bookings can be selected up to 2 hours before pick up if space is available and the cost is £20.

Both sessions come with a 10% sibling discount. We also 
offer pick ups after 4 pm from all schools who offer clubs for an additional £5 (However this additional fee does not apply to Muswell Hill Primary school pupils). 

No refunds will be given for missed days as there is a no cancellations policy for ASC bookings.

Payments

All payments to be made in advance online by debit/credit card or childcare vouchers. Please use our Magic Booking Portal to book an activity.

Drinks And Snacks (Allergy Information)

Drinks and a snack are provided each day, it is absolutely essential that we are promptly informed/updated of any allergies each child has.

Absence From After School Club

If a child is absent from Afterschool Club on a day he or she is booked to attend it is imperative that the Playleader is notified as soon as possible. We ask parents not to allow their children to make arrangements to go to tea with a friend without their parents informing the club first. The Playleader has a list of children each day to be collected, all of whom must be accounted for. Unless we have been notified in advance that the child is going home with a friend, she/he will be taken to the club as arranged. Please see ‘Kidsafe Forms and Procedure’.

Playscheme Opening Times

Opening times 9 am to 4 pm. Pick up by 4 pm.
The penalty charge for late pick up is £5 for the first 5 minutes, followed by £5 for each subsequent 5 minutes or part thereof.

£35 a day

Booking In Advance

Bookings can be made online only. Please go to our booking system.
Payment may be made by card or childcare vouchers only.

Attendance And Payment

Only children in full-time education between 4-12 years (up to and including those in year 7) and whose parents/carers have booked may attend the scheme. 
Bookings are not accepted without payment.
No refunds can be given for missed days. There is no cancellation for playscheme bookings.

Food

All children a required to bring a packed lunch including a named water bottle. All children a required to bring a packed lunch including a named water bottle. A light refreshment of biscuits and fruit squash will be offered once a day mid-morning, although we do not provide full meal services.

Clothing

The scheme often involves walking to various parks and on trips so please ensure children wear comfortable footwear and have waterproof clothing. Often, park visits or art activities can be rather messy so best clothes are not advisable.

Outdoor Visits

When registering for the playscheme, parents give their permission for their child(ren) to attend all visits e.g. to Ally Pally under the supervision and care of Fortis Green Kids’ Club staff.

The club will adhere to OfSTED registration requirements for trips at all times. Playscheme staff, under the direction of the Senior Playleader, will make short-term and necessary decisions for the welfare of the children attending.

By registering, parents give permission for their child(ren) to receive urgent medical treatment from qualified First Aiders, and give permission to seek any emergency medical advise or treatment if it is necessary. In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to contact parents and other contacts named on the registration form.
